Stephen Curry Parents: Who Are Dell Curry And Sonya Curry?

Dell Curry and Sonya Curry are Stephen Curry’s parents. His parents are both passionate athletes.

Dell Curry is a retired professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association. He was a member of the Charlotte Hornets from 1986 to 2002 and retired as the franchise’s all-time leader in points and three-point field goals made.

Curry was selected Metro Conference Player of the Year his senior year in 1986. In 1996, his first year of eligibility, he was inducted into the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame. Curry is now a colour analyst on Charlotte Hornets television broadcasts.

Sonya Alicia Curry participated in volleyball, track and field, and basketball in high school and college. While on the junior team, she served 57 aces in one season, the sixth-most in Virginia Tech history. She went on to set a record of 69-70 at the end of her fourth year.

She has a degree in education and currently works as a teacher She owns and operates the Montessori School in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is the president of the school, which she and Dell founded in 1995.
