Dave Goldberg, the CEO of SurveyMonkey, passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2015, while on vacation with his wife, Sheryl Sandberg.

The couple had been at a private beach-front villa near the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Punta Mita, Mexico, that fateful day.
Dave had been rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There had been rumours that the tech entrepreneur had fallen off a treadmill at a gym but his wife, Sheryl, said that Dave battled coronary artery disease before he died.
Fans from the Silicon Valley community, friends and family had expressed their condolences on social media.

Dave’s brother, Robert, had written an emotional post on that day.

“In lieu of donations, we want to celebrate his life in a manner that respects the family’s privacy as they cope with this tragic, life-changing event,” Robert wrote.
A memorial service was held for Dave at Stanford Memorial Auditorium on the Stanford University campus few days after his passing.
Dave and Sheryl got married in 2014 and had two children together. The family resided in Menlo Park, California.
