Cathy was well known as the wife of PGA Tour star Bart Bryant. They were married for 34 years. She was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2016, and she died on April 5, 2017. Aside from her marriage to Bart, and death, not much information is available on her personal life.

Before her death, the couple had two children together, daughters Kristen and Michelle. Following the death of Cathy, Bart remarried Donna Bryant.
On June 1, 2022, the PGA Tour reported that Bart died in a car accident, five years after his first wife died of brain cancer. The facts of the accident remain unknown.

“The PGA Tour is grieved by the unfortunate death of Bart Bryant, and our sympathies go out to his family and friends at this difficult time,” PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan said, according to NBC Golf.
Bryant is a three-time PGA Tour winner and the only opponent to deliver Tiger Woods the greatest setback of his career during the 2005 TOUR Championship.”
Bart is survived by his wife Donna, daughters Kristen and Michelle and his stepchildren.
