The first day of the month June didn’t bring great news to music lovers as it came with the news of the passing of New Delhi multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Sheil Sagar.

Sheil Sagar was 22 and his passing was announced by friends and musicians from via social media.
Sheil Sagar was known for his versatility.
Sheil Sagar was gifted and had the ability to play the piano, guitar and saxophone, and was a producer-composer.
Sheil Sagar was also known for his beautiful low-baritone voice.
Sheil Sagar was also the former vice-president at the music society of Hansraj College where he actively engaged in the Delhi University music circuit.

Sheil Sagar did pick up some awards, winning singer-songwriter competitions organized by the likes of Global Music Institute and Compass Box Studio over the past few years.
Sheil Sagar rose to prominence within the Indian independent music scene with his shimmering acoustic debut single “If I Tried” last year, which has gone on to amass over 40,000 streams on Spotify alone.
Sheil Sagar followed it up with three more singles in 2021: “Before It Goes,” “Still” and “Mr. Mobile Man- Live.”
The latter was recorded live and filmed during a soundcheck at The Piano Man Jazz Club in Gurugram.
