Mona Lisa Cake Attack: Why Did Someone Smear Cake On The Mona Lisa?

Following a climate protest that took place in Paris, the Mona Lisa artistic work was allegedly smeared with cake by a young irate man.

The 16th-century masterpiece designed by Leonardo da Vinci was placed behind bulletproof glass in the Louvre museum in Paris.

It was said to have been attacked by a 36-year-old man who disguised himself as an elderly woman in a wheelchair.

After the attacker had gained entry into the spot reserved for the handicapped, he got up and smeared the cream cake over the glass case that covered the painting.

“Think about the Earth. There are people who are destroying the Earth. Think about it … all artists, think about the Earth — this is why I did this. Think about the planet”, the man said loudly.

The police swiftly took control of the situation and arrested him right away. Authorities say that the man has been detained in the psychiatric unit for evaluation.

He is being charged for damage to cultural artifacts.

The painting which is protected by the bulletproof glass is said to still be in good shape and without any damage.
