DeLorean Motor Company has officially revealed its upcoming DeLorean EV, an all-new take on the classic 1980’s stainless steel-clad, gullwing doored sports car that was made famous by the Back to the Future film trilogy and first teased back in February.

The new DeLorean will be electric, but de Vries wouldn’t discuss the supplier for the electric motors. The executive did not it to Tesla or Lucid.

The battery, which will be larger than 100kwh, will have a fast-charging rate of around 150kw, and deliver more than 300 miles of range, according to de Vries.
Delorean Electric Car Specs
The Alpha 5 come with a 100kWh battery, offering an estimated 300 miles of range and a top speed of 155mph.
DeLorean indicated these specs will belong to the base performance model, but there isn’t any word on other possible performance tiers or pricing.
