Ben Van Leeuwen Wife: Who Is Laura O’Neill?

Laura O’Neill is the wife of Ben Van Leeuwen. They met in London in 2006, while O’Neill was visiting her father in Melbourne, Australia, and Van Leeuwen was studying abroad for a college semester.

Van Leeuwen visited O’Neill in Australia after spending a few days together, and a long-distance relationship soon evolved. They decided to start a business together.

Laura was born in Melbourne, Australia, and relocated to New York City in 2007. She has been in Los Angeles for the past two years.

While their company thrived, O’Neill’s relationship with Van Leeuwen deteriorated, and she left in June 2012.

Despite their separation, (they are still legally married), neither of them wanted to quit the business they had worked so hard to develop. They continued to collaborate, and O’Neill believes their working relationship is stronger than ever.

According to Laura, they saw an opportunity to create and serve wonderful ice cream using just the best ingredients and no gums, stabilisers, or fillers. They currently create traditional and vegan ice cream, and operate stores and trucks in New York and Los Angeles almost 22 locations! , and sell pints in grocery stores around the country.

In addition, Laura is also the co-owner of Selamat Pagi, an Indonesian-inspired restaurant that was founded in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in 2012.
