Fred Benson Car Accident

In Stranger Things season 4, Fred Benson, played by Logan Riley Bruner, was involved in a ghastly car crash that claimed the life of a student.

Fred drove off for fear of going to jail. He never turned himself in to the police but kept it a secret, carrying the guilt and grief of his actions. He thinks everyone sees him as a murderer and this feeling of guilt made him an easy target to Vecna.

The incident taunted Fred and for the rest of the episode, Fred is unable to investigate the murder of Chrissy.

Vecna continues to accuse Fred of his actions, and eventually snatches his mind Afterwards, he pushed him to the road and made him lie by a burning car. Fred pleads but to no avail. He finally kills him in the most horrific way.

In the film, Fred portrays a nerdy character who is quite witty. He is very intelligent and is passionate about journalism.
