Andy Goram First Wife: Who Is Jackie Taylor?

Andrew Lewis Goram (born 13 April 1964) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Born in Bury, Lancashire, England, he started his career with Oldham Athletic and Hibernian, but he is best remembered for playing for Rangers during the 1990s when he earned the nickname “The Goalie”.

36-year-old Goram’s dream move from Motherwell to Manchester is all down to their son Danny, a football-daft Manchester United season ticket holder. Jackie Taylor reverted to her maiden name when she and Goram divorced 12 years ago after two years together.

But she remains on friendly terms with the goalie and his partner, Miriam Wylie – who will become Andy’s third wife later this year.

Now there’s every chance Jackie will come face to face with the man she once showed the door as she entertains clients on the ground. Jackie, who lives in Rochdale, Lancashire, said the controversial goalie picked up the phone to his son as soon as Sir Alex Ferguson approached him.

And she said their lad urged his old man not to miss the chance.

Now the businesswoman, who runs her own corporate hospitality business, is fully prepared to meet her ex. She said: “It won’t be a problem. It’s very amicable between Andy and myself so we’re able to act like adults. We’re good friends and we’ll always have Danny in common.”

Jackie, who never re-married, added: “Andy phoned Danny to see what he thought. Delighted wouldn’t be a strong enough word.

“The thought of his dad actually playing for his sacred team just blew him away.”

Six years ago, Goram hit an all-time low when his second marriage, to casino croupier Tracy Fitzpatrick, failed, just months after he said she’d saved him from alcoholism.
