Moose Wala was said to be traveling in a non-bullet-proof car and without his usual security guards when he met his death.
The eight assailants had shot at the singer’s vehicle with AK-94 rifles, firing 30 bullets at him.
However, CCTV footage revealed that Moose Wala’s car was consistently trailed by a four-wheel-drive some minutes before he was murdered.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has confirmed that they were responsible for Moose Wala’s murder.
Punjab Police chief VK Bhawra said that the reason for the killing might be related to the murder of Youth Akali Dal leader Vicky Madhukhera last August.

Moose Wala’s manager, Shaganpreet, had earlier been accused of Middukhera’s death. Unfortunately, Shaganpreet fled to Australia, to escape the long arm of the law.
The police have begun an investigation on the matter.
Moose Wala’s security was withdrawn a day before the incident, following the anniversary of operation ‘Bluestar’ and Ghalughara massacre week.
Although, he was left with two guards they didn’t go out with him.
“He also had a bulletproof car but he chose not to travel in it today,” the DGP had said.
