Infanta Sophia of Spain is the younger daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia. She has an older sister, Leonor, who she follows in the line of succession to the Spanish throne.

She was named after her paternal grandmother, Queen Sofia of Spain. She was christened on July 15 by the Archbishop of Madrid, Antonio Maria Rouco Varela. She is a student at the Santa Maria de los Rosales school in Madrid.
