Felipe VI de Espana is famous for being the King of Spain and also as a member of the royal family. He is the son of the former king, Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia.

By the Spanish Constitution, as monarch, King Felipe is the head of state and commander in chief of the Spanish Armed Forces with the military rank of Captain Generaland also plays the role of the supreme representation of Spain in international relations.
His reign has been marked by his dissolution of the Spanish Parliament in 2016, string condemnation of the Catalonian independence referendum, the COVID-19 pandemic and moves towards greater transparency in royal affairs.
