George Shapiro is an American producer and talent manager who has an estimated net worth of $50 million. He has represented talents such as Andy Kaufman and Jerry Seinfeld.

He graduated from New York University and started working in the mailroom of the William Morris Agency where he eventually became an agent.

On June 30, 2021, people from the world of comedy gathered at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills to honour Shapiro.
The David Lynch Foundation presented him with the Lifetime of Bliss Award. He said he had been practising Transcendental Meditation for 28 years.
George Shapiro died on May 26 of natural causes at his home in Beverly Hills. He was 91 years old.
