They have two children together. After having these kids, he mentioned that fatherhood was not a conscious decision. It was part of the wonderful ride he has been on. Depp announced that they had separated in June 2012.

The couple separated amicably. They added that they wanted people to respect their privacy and that of their children.
Back in July 2020, in a witness statement relating to the court battle between Depp and Amber Heard, Vanessa Paradis said she had known the star for 25 years, including the 14 years together. In her statement, the model said she was aware of the allegations but said it was nothing like the true Johnny she knows.
