Mr Depp, 58, has filed a $50 million (£40 million) lawsuit against his ex-wife over an essay she authored in which she claims to be an abuse victim. Ms Heard, 36, filed a countersuit for $100 million.
For a verdict, the jury of seven must reach a unanimous conclusion. On Friday, May 27, they began deliberations shortly after both sides finished their closing arguments.

If the jury finds her guilty, Heard will be compelled to pay Depp the $50 million he is seeking in lost earnings compensation, though the court may recommend that he be granted more or less.
If the jury finds it in Ms Heard’s favour, Mr Depp will receive nothing and may be obliged to pay his ex-wife the $100 million she sought in her countersuit.
The jury deliberation could take a matter of hours or several days, depending on how long they need to deliberate.
