Phila Madlingozi is a South African actor, singer, rapper and filmmaker best known for his role as Zithembe/Zolile in the second season of the SABC1 drama series, intersexions in 2013.

Phila says although he’s always been interested in acting and studied film and television, the magic of acting came alive when he landed a leading part in the show. He was one of the numbers of actors to land a role on the show after open auditions in 2011.

Phila Madlingozi was born in Johannesburg but was raised in Port Elizabeth by his grandmother alongside his cousins and siblings.

He is the son of Ringo Madlingo, a South African singer, songwriter and a member of the National Assembly of South Africa.
