What happens in Top Gun: Maverick?
Training a detachment of graduates for a special assignment, Maverick must confront the ghosts of his past and his deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who chose to fly it.
At the end of the movie, Maverick passes the torch to a new generation of hotshots, specifically Rooster (Miles Teller), son of Goose, who died in the original Tony Scott movie.
Is Viper in Top Gun: Maverick?
Tom Skerrit is not confirmed to return as Mike, Viper Metcalf in Top Gun 2, Metcalf has a history with Maverick’s family as he flew alongside Duke Pitchell during the Vietnam War.
