Steve Kerr is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Kerr is the only NBA player to win four straight NBA titles after 1969 and also has the highest career three-point field goal percentage (45.4%) in NBA history for any player with at least 250 three-pointers made.

Kerr is an eight-time NBA champion, and won five titles as a player (three with the Chicago Bulls and two with the San Antonio Spurs) as well as three with the Warriors as a head coach.

Kerr also held the NBA record for the highest three-point percentage in a season at 52.4% until the record was broken by Kyle Korver in 2010.

Throughout his sixteen-year professional career, Kerr played for;

  1. Phoenix Suns (1988–1989)
  2. Cleveland Cavaliers (1989–1992)
  3. Orlando Magic (1992–1993)
  4. Chicago Bulls (1993–1999)
  5. San Antonio Spurs (1999–2001)
  6. Portland Trail Blazers (2001–2002)
  7. Return to San Antonio (2002–2003).

Kerr announced his retirement after the 2003 NBA Finals and started coaching the Golden State Warriors from 2014 till date.

The Golden State warriors is the only team Kerr has coached though he has also served as the general manager of the Phoenix Suns beginning with the 2007–2008 season.
