Dragon Of Death Flying Reptile: Gigantic ‘Dragon of Death’ Flying Reptile Found In Argentina

The Fossils of an ancient flying reptile named “Dragon of Death” have been escavated by a group of scientists in the Andes mountains region of Argentina.

Scientists say that the rocks were responsible for the preservation of the reptile’s remains.

The Dragon of Death was known to hover in the skies over 86 million years ago, at a time dinosaurs existed.

“Dragon of death” is a nomenclature obtained from the recently discovered creature’s official scientific name: Thanatosdrakon amaru.

The name is from the ancient Greek words “thanatos”, meaning death and “drakon”, meaning dragon.

The scientists also mentioned that pterosaurs are no different from the Dragon of Death, since they both have the ability to fly.

The pterosaur fossil is still the biggest discovered in South America and one of the largest in the world till date.

The earliest pterosaurs came as petition flying reptiles with very strong bodies and well elongated tails. They came in variety off species, size and shapes.

They were flying reptiles that had the capacity to over power an aircraft. They had strong wings made of membrane of skin, muscle, and other tissues.

The lifestyle of Pterosaurs varied from being fish eaters to hunting land mammals, eaters of insects, fruit eaters and even predators of other pterosaurs.
