“She decided that at this point in her life, she wants too much freedom to be married,” Ice hockey player Laich said at the time.
The duo were hitched for three years (2017-2020) but never had kids together.
In the first place they were getting along however similar issues started to emerge. While they love one another, the two of them want more than what each other has to offer.

The time they spent together in the end was closure for the two of them. Julianne feels like she hasn’t gotten an opportunity to make every second count and needs more time to discover herself.
In one episode of his podcast, a heartbroken Laich said, “I cry all the time and it’s wonderful! It’s something I’ve recently learned, since the passing of our two dogs,” he said.
“I’ve learned how to honor emotions in the moment and let them come up and through me and out of me and a lot of times that’s through crying”, he added.
