Early Voting, though just 3-year old, was though at the Preakness Stakes by outrunning the Black-eyed Susans in a most unusual fashion. This will be this 4th win in his career.

Early Voting, ridden by Jose Ortiz, finished just ahead of Epicenter, the Preakness runner up at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. Creative Minister and Secret Oath finished third and fourth respectively.

The event which was the 13th edition, took place at Pilmico Race Course.

Seth Klarman, who owns Early Voting, revealed that the victorious win came on his 65th birthday.

“Winning once was like a dream of a lifetime,” Klarman said after the race. “Winning twice is an extraordinary experience…. Ortiz did a masterful ride.”
