Wazir Begum was one of the wives of the great Indian wrestler, Gama Pehlwan.

Gama had two wives during his lifetime. Gama and Wazir together had nine children – five sons and four daughters.
Gama and Wazir had a granddaughter, Kulsoom Nawaz, who later became the first lady of Pakistan got married to Nawaz Sharif.
The couple had a second granddaughter, Saira Bano, who was married to Jhara Pehalwan.
Unfortunately, Gama lost all his sons.

When his youngest son Jalaluddin died in 1945, it broke Gama down such that he became depressed.

Aside being a great wrestler, Gama had also tried several businesses but they ended up failing.
Gama earned the nickname “Tiger” during his career after winning the World Wrestling Championship in 1927.
Gama came into limelight at the age of ten, following a strongman competition that included energy exerting exercises such as squats.
Gama had a career that survived over 5 decades. He was crowned the Indian World Heavyweight Championship and is regarded one of the greatest wrestlers in the world.
He died in Lahore, on May 23, 1960. He was aged 82.
