Aslam Pahalwan was a Pakistani wrestler born to the Great Gama Pehlwan and one of his wives, Imam Baksh Pahalwan, on January 15, 1927.

Aslam took after his father in so many ways. He lived as a World Heavyweight Champion, ranking world No.9 as far back as 1968. He was also known as “the Wrestling King”.
In Europe and America, he was regarded as the All India Champion.
Aslam toured the United Kingdom and challenged opponents in top arenas such as the North, Midlands, and Scotland and defeated Canadian Champion George Gordienko along the line.
In 1967, Aslam won the Pride of Performance Award from the Government of Pakistan.

His manager at the time was the British wrestling promoter Orig Williams and had British promoter Christopher Whelan as his sponsor.
What Happened To Aslam Pahalwan?
Aslam had retired from wrestling in the 1970s. He later passed away in 1989 at age 61 in Pakistan, leaving his son Jhara Pahalwan to succeed him as world champion.
