Who named their son Cosmo? Why did Scarlett Johansson name her baby Cosmo?

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost Welcome Their First Baby Together in August 2021. Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost opted to go with a unique name for the newest member of their family Cosmo Jost.  The couple has not explained why they named their son Cosmo.

The name caught a lot of people off guard, and the Saturday Night Live star’s mother was reputedly among those who weren’t delighted with it.

Jost recently revealed that his mother has some difficulty understanding Cosmo. This resulted in some amusing interactions between mother and son.

The comic informed his mother that the couple had registered their son’s name at the hospital, to which she responded, “OK, intriguing.”

He alleges she then suggested various names, such as “Cosimo with an ‘I.’” “Perhaps Cosimo is his true name, but you can still call him Cosmo,” Jost said she informed him.

The “Weekend Update” anchor said his mother began to change her mind after meeting Italian neighbours on Staten Island who had relatives with the same name.
