Sonny Bono and his second wife, Cher, had a child together – Chaz Bono. The couple split in 1975.

Chaz Bono

Chaz was born on March 4, 1969. He is a writer, musician, and actor.

Chaz was born female but had a sex change between 2008 and 2010, following her identification as a lesbian as far back as 1995. Bono underwent a female-to-male gender transition.

Now a man, Chaz went ahead to change his name and a documentary on his gender transition was screened at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

The documentary made its television debut on the Oprah Winfrey Network. Bono as of today remains a frontline LGBT activist.

Elijah Blue Allman

Elijah was born on July 10, 1976, to singer Cher and her second husband, Gregg Allman.

Elijah is a half-brother to Chaz. He is a musician and plays the guitar for the rock band Deadsy. Elijah’s stage name is P. Exeter Blue.

Elijah has been a guest vocalist on a variety of songs for other bands such as Orgy, Coal Chamber and Sugar Ray.

Elijah is married to his sweetheart, and British singer Mariangela King, a.k.a “Queenie”. They tied the knots in 2013.
