Was Rebecca Schaeffer related to Pam Dawber?

Rebecca Schaeffer was a rising star known for her role on the hit sitcom alongside Dawber. Rebecca was preparing to audition for a role in Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Godfather Part III” when her stalker, an obsessed fan named Robert Bardo, crossed state lines and shot her dead at the door of her Los Angeles home.

Pam Dawber and Rebecca Schaeffer were not blood relatives. They did, however, have a sisterly bond. Pam, who rose to fame alongside Robin Williams in “Mork & Mindy,” explained how she and Schaeffer became close after the cameras stopped rolling.
