Andy Griffith Death: Why Was Andy Griffith Buried Within 5 Hours Of His Death?

Famous actor and TV personality, Andy Griffith, died on July 3, 2012, at age 86, following a heart attack.

Griffith, whose career spanned over 70 years, was known for The Andy Griffith Show which ran between 1960 to 1968.

While he was alive, Griffith, was an active member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity.

Griffith was initially diagnosed with Guillain–Barré syndrome and was bedridden for seven months. After undergoing a quadruple heart bypass surgery, he had a bad fall which resulted in a hip dislocation.

He had to undergo hip surgery, and it happened to be the last before his death.

The family of Griffith did not want a public service of any sort, although there have been several claims as to why the actor was buried within 5 Hours of his demise.

He was buried in the Griffith family cemetery on the island of North Carolina.
