How does Stowe view slavery?

Harriet Beecher viewed slavery as a sin.  Harriet Beecher Stowe’s portrayal of slavery in Uncle Tom’s Cabin is distinctive and successful in supporting one of the novel’s key topics, slavery. She doesn’t merely write about slave masters’ heinous acts and the inhumane treatment of slaves. Instead, she contrasts those instances with examples of slaves who do not lead a completely deplorable life.

Tom is treated rather well by the Shelbys in comparison to the worst that could happen, but he is eventually transferred to the Legree plantation, where he receives the worst imaginable treatment, including sexual abuse, beatings, and murder.
