The former Workington Town and Whitehaven star, largely considered one of the county’s greatest footballers of all time, died at the age of 70. His death was reported on May 13 2022.

Workington Town RLFC said in a statement on their website that he battled sickness and passed away with his loving wife Hazel at his side. There is no information about his children.
Thomas Arnold Walker was a professional rugby league footballer in England throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Walker represented Great Britain and England, and he was inducted into the halls of fame of both Town and Haven.

Former clubs have paid heartfelt tributes to a man who was once voted the world’s best scrum-half. “We are incredibly heartbroken to hear that Boxer Walker has died away,” Workington Town wrote on Twitter.
“All at Whitehaven Rugby League are heartbroken to hear of the demise of a Cumbrian rugby league legend Boxer Walker,” Whitehaven stated.
