Bob Lanier Children: Who Is Bob Lanier’s Daughter Khalia Lanier?

Khalia Lanier is the daughter of the late American professional basketball player who played for the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA) Bob Lanier.

Khalia took a different route from her father and is a volleyball player.

Khalia made her worldwide volleyball debut in 2011 with the USAV Future Select Team.

As a result of her excellent performances, Khalia got chosen to the High-Performance All-Tournament Team and was a 2012 High-Performance All-American.

Currently the Lanier family is grieving as they lost their dad Bob to the icy hands of death.

Khalia’s dad died on Tuesday (May 10, 2022) evening, aged 73, after an illness.

Khalia’s dad was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1992.

And in his 14 seasons in the NBA, he averaged 20.1 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.5 bpg, and 1.1 spg while shooting a stellar 51.4% from the field.

Khalia’s dad played in eight NBA All-Star Games, and was named Most Valuable Player of the 1974 game.

Khalia’s dad  had his No. 16 jersey retired by both the Pistons and the Bucks and his No. 31 jersey retired by St. Bonaventure University and was also made an NBA ambassador.
