Alexander Subbotin was a former oil executive who was found dead over the past weekend.

According to TASS, a state-owned news agency, Subbotin’s body was discovered in a shaman’s home in Mytishchi.
TASS reported that it Subbotin suffered from a heart attack, and a source told the Russian outlet that he was highly intoxicated when he showed up at the house.
Subbotin’s death is the latest death in a weird trend of Russian business people who have died under strange circumstances.
The mogul had had sought the advice of shamans to cure a hangover, says the official version, but his death comes as other prominent fatalities are under the spotlight with critics of Putin’s regime saying they could be murders.
The oligarch, who owned a lucrative shipping company, was evidently treated with toad venom after an incision was made in his skin.

Soon afterwards Subbotin had a heart attack and was given a tranquilliser from herb valerian.

Subbotin used to be be a top executive at Lukoil, Russia’s second-largest oil producer, according to Reuters and it employs over 110,000 people, according to the company’s website.
Subbotin’s brother, Valerie, who also worked in the upper reaches of Lukoil, owns the 184-foot Galvas yacht, and is worth an estimated $100 million, according to SuperYachtFan.
Subbotin is the latest casualty of several Russian business people and members of their families who have died under weird circumstances in the last few months.
At least six have as of late April, Insider has reported, many of whom were linked to large Russian energy companies.
The death of these business tycoons are making people ask a lot of questions as there’s a growing belief that there’s more to their weird deaths.
