According to ‘The Ring’ magazine, Canelo holds four major world titles and the title of “linear” champion of the division. After defeating Caleb Plant, Canelo Alvarez is the current IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO, and The Ring Super Middleweight Champion.

Alvarez is known for his ability to exploit openings in his opponents’ guards while avoiding punches with head and body movement. He is also known for being a powerful body puncher.
Alvarez is the first boxer in history to be crowned undisputed super middleweight champion, having held the WBA (Super), WBC, and Ring magazine titles since 2020, as well as the IBF and WBO titles since 2021.
