Bert Convy died of glioblastoma eight days before his 58th birthday on July 15, 1991, at his home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. He was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills.

Bernard Whalen “Bert” Convy was an American actor, singer, game show host, and panellist who hosted Tattletales, Super Password, and Win, Lose, or Draw, among other shows.

Bert Convy was the son of Bernard Fleming and Monica (née Whalen) Convy and was born in St. Louis, Missouri. When Convy was seven years old, his family relocated to Los Angeles. He went on to North Hollywood High School, where he excelled as an all-around athlete

Convy began acting professionally in 1956, appearing in the musical The Billy Barnes Revue in Los Angeles before moving to New York City. He appeared in ten Broadway productions, including “Nowhere to Go But Up,” Cabaret (in which he originated the role of Cliff, a fictionalised Christopher Isherwood), and The Impossible Years.
