Connor McDavid is a rather skilled Canadian professional ice hockey centre who serves as the captain of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League.

Connor McDavid began his sports passion as a child, playing ice hockey against older children. He won four Ontario Minor Hockey Association championships with the York Simcoe Express which was coached by his father.

Connor McDavid started playing junior ice hockey at the age of 15 after being granted exceptional player status in 2012 by Hockey Canada. Representing Canada internationally, he has won gold medals at the 2013 IIHF World U18 Championships as well as the 2015 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.

Connor McDavid was selected first overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by The Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). At 19 years, the Oilers appointed him as the youngest captain in NHL history. He became the youngest player to win the Art Ross Trophy for the leading scorer in the NHL.

Connor McDavid is the recipient of awarded the Hart Memorial Trophy, Ted Lindsay Award, and was selected to the NHL First All-Star Team. He is a four-time NHL First Team All-Star, a four-time recipient of the Art Ross Trophy and a three-time winner of the Ted Lindsay Award.

Who Are Brian McDavid And Kelly McDavid?

Connor McDavid’s mother Kelly McDavid played one year of recreational ice hockey while his father Brian McDavid was a high school ice hockey player. His father was the coach of the team York Simcoe Express and had served as his youth coach growing up.
