W. Axl Rose was born  William Bruce Rose, Jr on February 6, 1962, in Lafayette, Indiana, the United States as the oldest child of his parents Sharon Elizabeth Lintner and William Bruce Rose. He was raised alongside his siblings Amy Bailey and Stuart Bailey.

However, Axl Rose’s parents separated when he was almost two years old. He is best recognized for being the lead vocalist and lyricist of the hard rock and heavy metal band Guns N’ Roses. He co-founded Guns N’ Roses in 1985.

The first album of Guns N’ Roses was Appetite for Destruction (1987), which sold 30 million copies worldwide. Their album is the best-selling debut album of all time in the U.S. with 18 million units sold.
