Naomi Judd was an American country music singer and actress. In 2021, she was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame as a member of The Judds alongside her daughter, Wynonna.

Naomi and her daughter, Wynonna formed the highly successful singing duo, The Judds. Naomi received the Golden Plate Award from the American Academy of Achievement in 1993. Naomi’s second marriage was on May 6, 1989, to Larry Strickland of the Palmetto State Quartet.

In 2016, Naomi Judd opened up about mental illness during an appearance on Good Morning America, saying she has been diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety.
At the age of 3, Judd was sexually molested at the hands of a family member, which impacted her mental health for decades without treatment. But once Judd came to terms with what happened, she started therapy.
On April 30, 2022, at the age of 76, it was announced that Judd had passed on. Ashley Judd announced her death, saying she died of mental illness.
