Why is Jamie Vardy not playing for Leicester City?
Jamie Vardy has been out for the majority of the 2022 calendar year and he made just his second start of the calendar year on Thursday (April 28, 2022) night, playing an hour in the 1-1 draw with Roma.
However, Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has said that it’s not simply a case of Vardy rediscover his fitness after the best part of four months out with hamstring and knee trouble.
Attention now turns to the weekend’s game with Tottenham Hotspur, and Vardy’s fitness will be considered.
However, it is highly possible that Vardy may not feature at all in order to be kept fresh for the second leg of the semi-final in Italy.
