Jim Ratcliffe Politics: Who does Jim Ratcliffe support?

Jim Ratcliffe is a Monaco-based British billionaire chemical engineer turned financier and industrialist best recognized as the Chief Executive Officer of Ineos.

Sir James Arthur Ratcliffe was born on October 18, 1952, in Failsworth, Lancashire, the United Kingdom as the son of a joiner and a mother who worked as an accounts office worker. He relocated to  East Yorkshire alongside her family at the age of 10.

Jim Ratcliffe attended Beverley Grammar School. He later graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in chemical engineering in 1974. He was granted an honorary fellowship by the Institution of Chemical Engineers in May 2009 and also received the Petrochemical Heritage Award in 2013.

Jim Ratcliffe founded the Ineos chemicals group, in 1998 and is presently serving as the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO). He had been appointed Knight Bachelor in the 2018 Birthday Honours for services to business and to investment. He has a daughter and is the father of two sons, George and Samuel from his previous marriage to Amanda Townson.
