Dolly Parton has had a change of heart and as a result, she’s now willing to accept her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination after initially trying to withdraw from the honor.

Earlier this year, when Dolly was nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, she rejected the nomination, citing that she didn’t feel worthy of the honors.

Dolly Parton said;

“I do hope that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will understand and be willing to consider me again — if I’m ever worthy.”

But barely a month later, Dolly Parton has had a change of mind.

The change of mind was on NPR’s “Morning Edition” Friday (April 29, 2022) and has now opined that if she’s voted into the Class of 2022, she’ll gracefully accept the recognition.

Dolly Parton said she didn’t understand why she was in the running because Rock and Roll was never her style.

However, it appears Dolly Parton’s now learned there’s more to it, especially while being up against artists like Eminem and Lionel Richie.

Fortunately for Dolly Parton, the Hall of Fame left her on the ballots as her tried withdrawal was a little too late and she’ll now have to sit tight until May, when the results will be revealed.
