Kaiser Santa Clara Nurse Death

Santa Clara police are investigating the circumstances that led to the death of a nurse on duty at the Kaiser’s Santa Clara Medical Centre.

According to reports the nurse brought a loaded gun to work and halfway through her shift, the nurse fired the gun in the emergency room.

Kaiser confirmed that an employee died by suicide. The hospital also said that during the investigation, the ER stayed open to walk-in patients. But ambulances were diverted to nearby hospitals.

The employee that committed suicide worked at Kaiser Pharmacy, Santa Clara Medical Centre, according to Physician in Chief, Dr Rakesh Chaudhary.

The employee’s name has not been released nor have the circumstances of their death.
