Who Is Joshua Jacques? Boyfriend charged with murder of four family members killed in Bermondsey

In the early hours of Monday, April 25, 2022, a former NHS worker and her partner, daughter and granddaughter were all found stabbed to death in their house located in Bermondsey.

Neighbors who knew the family described them as a “lovely” family and were shocked at their death.

Their death was brutal and people were interested in knowing the person responsible for wiping out the entire family.

A man identified as Joshua Jacques was identified and charged with murdering the family.

Joshua Jacques is accused of stabbing to death Dolet Hill, 64, Denton Burke, 58, Tanysha Ofori-Akuffo, 45, and Samantha Drummonds, 27 and he was remanded in custody following his appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thur April 28, 2022.

Joshua Jacques, who was the boyfriend of Mrs Hill’s murdered granddaughter Samantha Drummond was arrested at the scene in the early hours of Monday and was charged on Thursday morning following an investigation by homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

Joshua Jacques of Hither Green, south-east London, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court this afternoon and was swept in in a white prison van at around 10am after arriving from Brixton jail.

Mr Burke and his partner Ms Hill were both killed at their home in Delaford Road, Bermondsey, in the early hours of Monday.

Ms Hill’s daughter, Ms Ofori-Akuffo, who lived in Kennington, and granddaughter Ms Drummond, who lived in Forest Hill, also died at the property.

Ms Hill worked as a housekeeping assistant at Guy’s and St Thomas’s hospital in Westminster, central London, for 21 years before retiring in 2018.
