According to the findings of a Kent County (Del.) family court commissioner who granted Driscoll’s request for a protective order, Busch smashed his ex-girlfriend Patricia Driscoll’s head against his motor home wall in September. 26, 2014 at Dover International Speedway.

“In light of the serious nature of the Commissioner of the Family Court of the State of Delaware’s findings and conclusions, NASCAR has indefinitely suspended driver Kurt Busch, effective immediately,” NASCAR said in a statement. “Until further notice, he will not be permitted to race or participate in any NASCAR activities.”
Kurt Thomas Busch is a professional auto racer from the United States. He is a full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver for 23XI Racing, driving the No. 45 Toyota Camry TRD. He is the 2004 NASCAR Cup Series champion, the 2017 Daytona 500 winner, and the active driver with the most career starts in the Cup Series. Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup Series champion, is his older brother.
