Tobie Donovan, who played Isaac Henderson in Heartstopper, is also an onscreen newcomer like some of the other casts.

Isaac would rather be reading a novel about 99% of the time than dealing with any drama (same), but he’s a solid, supportive friend in the core group nonetheless.

Creator Alice Oseman described Isaac like this in a tweet, “He’s a bookworm and doesn’t say much, but when he does, it’s usually very insightful and/or funny. He doesn’t have a huge arc of his own this season, but I have many plans for him in future seasons.”

The series, Heartstopper, is a British coming-of-age romance streaming television series developed for Netflix based on the webcomic and graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman. The series was released on 22 April 2022. It has received critical acclaim.

See-Saw Films optioned the television rights of Heartstopper in July 2019. On 20 January 2021, it was revealed that Netflix ordered an 8-half-hour episode series, with Oseman herself as writer and Euros Lyn as director and executive producer.

First look images were revealed on 1 March 2022 followed by a teaser on 16 March. An official trailer was released on 13 April. The episode titles were released on 19 April. The series was released on 22 April 2022.
