After two Russian oligarchs, both linked to gas giants allegedly murdered their wives and daughters before killing themselves within two days of each other, questions are being raised, The surviving child of the killed families raised the alarm in both cases.

Vladislav Avayev, a former Kremlin official and vice-president of Gazprombank, was found dead in his opulent Moscow apartment on Monday, April 2022, alongside his wife and 13-year-old daughter. He appeared to have fired his gun at them before turning it on himself. Anastasia, a distraught 26-year-old daughter, discovered the bodies after being unable to contact her family.
Former Novatek deputy chairman Sergey Protosenya, 55, his wife Natalya, 53, and their 18-year-old daughter Maria were discovered dead at their Spanish mansion the next day on Sunday, April 2022.

Before Protosenya hanged himself in the garden, it appeared that the women had been stabbed. After being unable to contact his parents at their home in the coastal town of Lloret de Mar, the couple’s teenage son, who was staying in France, raised the alarm.
According to reports, Spanish investigators are now attempting to determine whether the Protosenya deaths were caused by a domestic murder-suicide or an organised hit.
Russian oligarchs have recently been in the news as a result of Western sanctions imposed on them in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It’s unclear whether Avayev and Protosenya have been directly affected.
