Joseph Jean Arthur Béliveau CC GOQ was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played part of 20 seasons with the National Hockey League’s Montreal Canadiens from 1950 to 1971.

He won 10 Stanley Cups while playing for the team.
In 2001, his name was added to Canada’s Walk of Fame.
Béliveau was made a Knight of the National Order of Quebec in 1988, promoted to Officer in 2006 and Grand Officer in 2010.

Elise Béliveau is widely known as the wife of the former Jean Béliveau.
Elise and Jean met in 1950 in Quebec City and quickly hit it off.
The pair became engaged on December 25, 1952, after two years of dating.
Elise and Jean married on June 27, 1953, at St. Patrick’s Church in Quebec City.
Their 61-year marriage came to end when Jean died on December 2, 2014, at age 83, in Longueuil, Montreal.
His public funeral was held at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral in Montreal.
Elise Béliveau and Jean Béliveau had one child; Hélène Béliveau.
