Guy Lafleur Family: Does Lafleur have siblings? Meet his entire family

Guy Damien Lafleur OC CQ, nicknamed “The Flower” and “Le Démon Blond”, was a Canadian professional ice hockey player.

Guy Lafleur was the first player in National Hockey League history to score 50 goals in six consecutive seasons as well as 50 goals and 100 points in six consecutive seasons.

Between 1971 and 1991, Guy Lafleur played right wing for the Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, and Quebec Nordiques in an NHL career spanning 17 seasons, and five Stanley Cup championships in 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, and 1979 (all with the Canadiens).

Guy Lafleur was born on 20 September 1951 in the pulp mill town of Thurso, Québec, along the Ottawa River.

Guy Lafleur has four sisters and was the only son born to Réjean and Pierrette Lafleur.

At the age of five, Guy Lafleur was given his first pair of hockey skates and a hockey stick as Christmas presents.

Guy Lafleur’s father built an ice rink behind the family home every winter and other children in the community were invited to play hockey on the rink with the condition that they would let him play with them.

Sadly, Guy Lafleur died on April 22, 2022  following a battle with lung cancer.

Guy Lafleur left behind a wife, Lisa Lafleur and two sons;  Mark Lafleur and Martin Lafleur.
