TshisaLIVE has announced the death of international fashion designer Lebogang Quiteria Kekana. The internationally recognised 38-year-old designer died on April 17 after a battle with cancer.

“It is with deep regret and sadness that the Kekana family confirms the unexpected death of international fashion designer, son, father, and brother Lebogang Quiteria Kekana, 38, following a brief fight with cancer.” Quiteria died on April 17, 2022, at his Melville home.”
Quiteria is survived by his son, parents, siblings, family, and pet. His family has asked for privacy while they process the tragic news, as well as prayers as they prepare to transport Quiteria to his final resting place.

Quiteria rose to prominence with his previous partnership with George, as Quitera & George.
They designed unforgettable outfits for Mzansi celebrities, including Miss SA contestants. In 2019, they collaborated with actress and fashion designer Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa to create Beyoncé’s gown for the Global Citizen Concert 2019, among other notable fashion moments. He continued to create fashion-forward and futuristic designs after going solo.
