Bristol Motor Speedway: Is Bristol race Cancelled?

Last weekend, NASCAR headed to Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. The Camping World Truck Series held the Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt on Saturday, April 16, at 8 p.m. ET, with the race televised on FS1. The NASCAR Cup Series raced the Food City Dirt Race on FOX on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.

The weekend races were delayed due to bad weather in 2021. Looking at the weather forecast for the next few days in April 2022, it appears that we will have a similar outcome. Friday’s sessions went smoothly, but there was a significant rise in the likelihood of rain on Saturday.

Organizers were hoping for the rains on Sunday to be just a passing thunderstorm. On Sunday, April 17 night, however, NASCAR Cup Series drivers struggled to compete on the dirt course at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The rains threatened to halt Sunday’s Food City Dirt Race early.  However, It appears that the race was not cancelled.
