Following Sean Dyche’s unexpected dismissal by Burnley on Friday, April 15, Jurgen Klopp’s seven-year tenure at Liverpool is the longest of any current Premier League manager.

Dyche had been the longest-serving manager in the Premier League when his contract was terminated after 3,451 days at Turf Moor due to a poor sequence of results that has left the Clarets in third place, four points from safety.

Klopp joined Liverpool three years later and has spent 2,381 days in charge, leading the team to their first Premier League title in 30 years in 2020, a year after winning the Champions League. Brendan Rodgers, his predecessor at Anfield, is sixth on the current list, courtesy of a three-year stint at Leicester that ended on February 27.

Pep Guardiola, a familiar rival, is in control of a Manchester City team that is a point ahead of Liverpool in a fascinating title chase – although the Spaniard has only been in command for about 300 days, having taken over in July 2016.
