James Eugene Carrey is a Canadian and American actor and comedian. Known for his energetic slapstick performances, Carrey first gained recognition in 1990, after landing a recurring role in the American sketch comedy television series In Living Color.

In 2019, Canadian-American actor, Jim Carrey, was asked to vacate the ‘movie section’ of the audience by hosts Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh.

This was after the actor played along gamely with a hilarious skit during the awards show’s opening.
